He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Schigg and Frances Schigg (Whalen); and his brother Frank Schigg. He is survived by: his wife Carol Schigg (Richardson); his stepchildren, Sheri McIntyre of Taunton, Laurie Jameson (William) of Easton and Christopher Thompson of Brockton; his grandchildren, Daniel, Corey, Samantha, Madison, Sabrina and Xavier; his nephew James "Jamie" Schigg; and his niece Michelle Schigg of Scituate. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
