Known as "Papa' to all, Jerry will be truly missed by his wife Sandra; his children; Kathleen Welch of Easthampton, Cynthia Piubeni of Springfield, Matthew M. Baran and his wife Stephanie of Enterprise, Alabama; his grandchildren; Eric, Aimee, Christopher, Marianne, Audrey, Jared, Savannah, Jacob, Anna and his pride and joy, his great granddaughter, Autumn. He leaves his sisters, Mary Provost of Holyoke and Barbara Dudek and her husband Teddy of Chicopee. Besides his parents, Jerry was predeceased by a son, Gerald J. Baran, Jr., his sisters, Patricia Lepage and her husband Norman, Rita Therrien and her husband Arthur; his brother Ronald and his wife Nona and a brother-in-law, Edward Provost. He also leaves 11 nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Jerry had the biggest heart and will be truly missed. A private ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
