Anthony Chambers Jr. Obituary
Anthony Chambers Jr, 37, passed away on Tuesday, August 1st at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton. Anthony, known by some as Tony, was born November 9th 1985, in Augusta, Georgia to Anthony and pre deceased mother Maureen (Mulholland) Chambers. At 7 months old, the family moved to Easthampton where he grew up on Pleasant street. 3 years later his sister Kathleen Chambers was born. Anthony was an avid athlete and sports fan. He grew up playing all sports in the Easthampton Recreation league as well as throughout his school years, even up until his passing. He was very knowledgeable in sports, and had a special passion for baseball, but was never held down to any one sport. His other great passion was being a chef at The Delaney House, Riff's, and Glendale Grill, being able to bring people together through his love for cooking. Tony was a tender hearted, kind, and a gentle person. Known by many as a big teddy bear; a man of his word, quick witted, with an ability to care for others that is very rare. He touched so many lives with his genuine love and kindness. The importance and value of his friends and friendships he had, motivated him to be the kind of man that he was. Let his legacy live on by remembering his example of how he treated everyone in his life. He is survived by his father and step mother Anthony Chambers Sr., and Penni Chambers, his sister Kathleen Chambers, step brother Joseph Delisle, his niece, (pride and joy), Eliyanah Chambers, nephew Trey, niece Ivanah, and niece Mikayla, as well as numerous aunts uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be Thursday August 10th at the Mitchell Funeral from 5 to 7pm. A Celebration of Life will take place at a future Date to be announced.
