He was predeceased by: his parent Alcide Hamel. He is survived by: his parent Lillian Hamel (Courchesne); his wife Carol Hamel (Casavant); his sons, Kenneth Hamel of Nevada and Steven Hamel of Granby; and his siblings, Alphonse Hamel of Pennsylvania, Richard Hamel of Georgia and Shirley Webster of Washington. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
