He is survived by: his spouse Chrysanthi Mitsi (Dima); his children, Marianna Giatis (Ptolemeos "Mike") and Kristos Mitsis (Miranta Alexi) of Athens, Greece; his grandsons, Thomas Giatis of East Taunton, Thanasis Mitsis and Bill Mitsis of Athens, Greece.; and his siblings, Eleni Mitsi of Epirus, Eftalia Katsifa of Epirus and Kostas Mitsis of Epirus. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
