John Areias Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Areias of East Taunton, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 9, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mateus Areias and Lucilia Areias (DaSilva-Guimaraes); and his brother Matthew. He is survived by: his wife Arlene Areias (Vaz Lima); his children, Dr. Joseph Areias of Taunton and Gloria-Jean Fitzgerald (David) of East Taunton; his grandchildren, Lauren (Blaze), Ryan (Chelsea), Nicholas, Luke, Sabrina, Jack and Isabelle; and his siblings, Louis Areias (Jane) of Taunton, Lucy Cozzone (Jim) of Taunton, Mary Silva of Taunton, Joseph and Ivo Areias. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and two Godchildren.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Holy Family Parish.
