He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Burgess and Agnes Burgess (Costa). He is survived by: his wife Blanche C. Burgess of East Taunton; his stepchildren, Jason Camara (Desiree Castro) of Florida and Jeannine Camara-Jackson (Bruce) of East Taunton; his siblings, Anthony Burgess (Susan) of Raynham, Marian Morgis (Michael) of Raynham, Amelia King (Peter Neufell) of Hinesville, GA, Christine DePaula (Lawrence) of Taunton and Richard Burgess of Taunton; his grandchildren, Jennah Windle (Andrew Gill) and Jared Windle (Angelina Resendes); and his great grandchildren, Arielle of East Taunton and Selena Gill of East Taunton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
