He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J. Kivlan and Lillian M. Kivlan (Karrer); and his sister Mary. He is survived by: his wife Susan J. Kivlan; his daughters, Laura Kivlan and Anna Kivlan (Jonas); his grandson James; and his brother Eric Kivlan.
