It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Verdon J. Anderson of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, who passed away at the age of 94, on February 18, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Verdon shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Verdon farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Anderson and Sylvia Anderson (Stage); his wife Ruth Anderson (Dennis); and his son Dwayne Anderson Sr.. He is survived by: his son Gary Anderson (Susan); and his daughter-in-law Donna Anderson. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation (220 N Main St, East Longmeadow, MA 01028). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, DAV – Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250 or a charity of their choice.
