It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melville Roy Anderson (East Longmeadow, Massachusetts), born in Chicopee, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 12, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Anderson and Catherine Anderson (Arrowsmith); his former wife Marie Anderson (McDonough) of Lee, MA.; his wife Patricia Anderson (Barry); his grandsons, Nicholas Hall and Noah Anderson; and his siblings, Muriel Mailloux, Margaret Hicks, Sally Perusse, Dorothy Walker and Robert Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Jayne Anderson of Seattle, WA, Jeanne Marie McCormick (John) of South Weymouth, MA, Kathryn Anderson of Braintree, Kristen Anderson of Bradenton, FL and Peter Anderson (Donna) of Russell, MA.; his grandchildren, Jason Ribadeneyra of East Longmeadow, Zachary Doninique, Brandon Dominique, Elizabeth Hall, Katie Newell, Alex McCormack, Lauren Meals, Hilary Anderson and Amelia Anderson; and his siblings, Kenneth Anderson, William Anderson, John Anderson and Shirley Kolby. He is also survived by Many nieces and nephews, cousins, In-laws and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Roy's name to The Massachusetts State Police Museum, American Legion Post #293, or to a charity of one's choice.
