With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Chaban of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, born in Springfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 10, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Salvatore Avato and Maria Avato (Minisci); her siblings, Ruth Marafioti, Joseph Avato, Dr. Cosmo Avato, Daniel Avato and Francis Avato; and her close friend Alice Martin.
She is survived by: her children, James Chaban of Agawam, MA, Sue McGrath (Patrick) of Windsor, CT, Joseph Chaban (Jun) of West Hartford, CT and Steven Chaban (Lorrie) of East Longmeadow, MA; her grandchildren, James, Matthew, Ashley (Kevin), Jay, Cameron and Brady; her great grandchildren, Luca and Giovanni; and her sister Laura Puppolo of Springfield.
