He was predeceased by: his parents, Beven S. Long, and Doris Long, Sr.; his siblings, Beven Long Jr. and Carol Merrill; and his brother-in-law Fred Merrill.
He is survived by: his wife Heather; his sons, Lawrence A. Long Jr. (Joan), Adam Long (Emily Lavallee) of Wilbraham, Joshua Long (Janel) of Wilbraham and Matthew Long (Marcia) of Wilbraham; and his grandchildren, Jonathan, Marina, Haley, Jillian, Alexandra, Julia, Carley, Jacob, Nadine, Jackson, Micah and Harley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints-missionary fund.
