He is survived by: his parents, Robert D. Smith and Lynn A. Smith (Simone); his wife Joanna P. DaCruz; his children, Emily Rae Smith and Eric T. Smith, Jr. (EJ); his brother Carmen D. Smith (Susan); his parents-in-law, Jose, Judith DaCruz, Mike Garrett and Jason Alexander; and his uncle Billy (William G. Smith). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
