She was predeceased by: her parents, George Russell and Naomi Russell (Geer); her husband Richard A. Fortini; and her siblings, Carol Landers, Delbert Russell and Herbert Russell.
She is survived by: her sisters, Joyce Maybury and Thelma Rogers; her daughter Linda Kern (David) of East Longmeadow; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Short (Rachel) of Tarzana California, Jennifer, Timothy Collins of East Longmeadow and David Kern (Audrey) of Springfield Ma; her daughter Ruth Albanese (Mark) of Eastham Mass; her grandchildren, Cory Albanese (Carolyn) of Scottsdale Arizona, Shayna, Christopher Dooley of Canton Mass, Christopher Albanese of Eastham Mass and Ellie; and her great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Juliette Short, Ella Collins and Caden Dooley. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and close family friends.
Ellie relocated back north in 2020 during the pandemic to be closer to her daughters.
