He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Gomes, Sr. and Anna Gomes (Neves); his wife Mildred Gomes (Golba); his brothers, Abel Gomes and Americo "Mack" Gomes; and his son-in-law David Merrill.
He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl Merrill; his nieces, Debbie Forcum and Linda Gomes; and his nephew David Gomes.
