He was predeceased by: his father Charles Gay, Jr.; his former wife Mildred Lundquist Gay; his wife Barbara Gorrod Gay; and his brother William "Buddy" Gay. He is survived by: his children, Valerie Dulude (Harley) of Southwick, MA and James "Jim" Gay (Deidra) of Big Spring, TX; his grandchildren, Christine Burns (Tony) of Westfield, MA, Julianne Rolfe (Kevin) of Southwick, MA, Justin Gay (Melanie) and Trevor Gay of Carlsbad, NM; his great grandchildren, Hanna, Mason, Weston, Harly, Tyler, Max and Miles; and his nephews, William Gay and Paul Gay.
