He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis V. McVay and Mary F. Conway of Pawtucket, RI.; his wife Geraldine McVay (Shea); and his son Richard E. McVay, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Ann M. Driscoll of East Falmouth and Janet M. Pratt (Derek) of East Falmouth; and his grandsons, James G. Driscoll and Ethan R. Pratt.
