He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hayes and Louise Hayes (Hardy); his brother Robert; his daughter Katherine Mary Carr (Dillon); and his grandchildren, Katie Zahner and Daniel Eldridge.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Hayes; his children, Keith Hayes (Marsha) of Mansfield, Theresa Eldridge (Robert) of St. Augustine, FL, Kevin Hayes (Anne) of Mansfield, Anne Marie Lorenz (David) of Wake Forest, NC, Colleen Turcotte (David) of Falmouth and John Dillon of Falmouth; his friend Kerri Smith of Pembroke; his son-in-law Terry Carr of Wilmington, NC.; and also, Patrick Dillon (Lori) of Falmouth and Courtney Zahner (Paul) of North Attleboro.
