He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilma John and Brand Sr. John; his significant other Janet Brand; and his son John Raymond Brand III. He is survived by: his daughter Deborah Seale; his daughter-in-law Catherine Brand; his daughter Lauri Thompson; his son-in-law Donald Thompson II; his son Todd Brand; his daughter-in-law Joy Brand; his friends, Blanche, Dick Doolin and Linda Cowie; and his grandchildren, Amanda, Donny III, Johnny IV, Noelle, Sara, Benjamin, Abigail, Owen and Ava.
