She was predeceased by: her husband Albert B. Weir; her son Curtis W. Woodward; her parents, Whitney Pearce and Ethel Pearce; and her siblings, Loraine B. Pearce, Authur C. Pearce and Katherine S. Pearce.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa L. Smith (James) of East Bridgewater, David M. Weir and Kenneth J. Weir; her grandchildren, David M. Hathaway (Ashley), Nichol L. Smith and Tyler B. Cataldo-Woodward; her great grandchildren, David M. Hathaway Jr. and Catherine T. Hathaway; her sister Deborah A. Melville (Ron) of South Carolina; and her caregivers, Yvonne Smolinsky and Kara Sullivan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Chapman Funerals & Cremations - East Bridgewater (35 Spring St, East Bridgewater, MA 02333). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Central Cemetery East Bridgewater (170 Central St, East Bridgewater, MA 02333).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ruth may be made to Autumn Hospice of Norwell or to the Alzheimer's association.
