He was predeceased by: his father Buddy Riccio. He is survived by: his mother Teresa Riccio; his wife Laurie Riccio; his daughters, Tessa Kahan and Jenna Riccio; his grandson Oliver Kahan; and his siblings, Anne Morello, Mary Sardo and Michele Riccio.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home (216 Main St, Kingston, MA 02364).

“Joe and I started work in Boston on the same day, in the same initial training class. We didn't know each other, but because we had the same last name, we started a conversation about being related (we weren't). We quickly began a bond as friends, a friendship that grew stronger every day. None of us who worked with Joe will ever forget his beautiful personality and smiling face. I've lost a friend but feel like I lost a brother. Rest In Peace Joe. Sincere condolences to his family.”
