Catherine Eva Merchant Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine Eva Merchant of Duxbury, Massachusetts, born in Medford, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 8, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband James E. Merchant, Sr.; her daughter-in-law Lee-Ann Merchant; her siblings, Thomas and Thresa Trapasso; and her parents, Thomas Briana and Mary Briana (DeLuca).

She is survived by: her children, James Merchant, Jr. (Patricia Manganello) of Halifax, Karen Buckley (Robert) of Sagamore Beach and Brian Merchant (Kelly) of Kennebunk, Maine; her grandchildren, Kristina O'Connor (Sean), Robert Buckley III (Carolyn), Ryan Buckley (Miriam), Sean Buckley (Meghan), Paul Buckley, Kyle Merchant and Brandon Merchant; her great grandchildren, Kayla O'Connor (Gerald Gilraine), Emma O'Connor, Benjamin, Claire, Zachary, Cameron Buckley and Cayden Buckley; her great great grandchild Glen Gilraine; her brothers, Richard Briana of Winthrop, John and Frank Briana; and her sisters-in-law, Margaret Cordeau (Mr Richard Cordeau) and Elaine Merchant. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
