He was predeceased by: his spouse Beverly Ann Gardner (Newell); his parents, Alfred P. and Mary F. Gardner (Casey); his son David Gardner; and his son-in-law John Carroll.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly Zatowski (Michael) and Jennifer Carroll; his grandchildren, Heather Jussaume, Ethan Zatowski (Sara), Conor, Sinead Carroll, Joseph Gardner (Sabrina), Molly Manter (Walter), Jared Whittemore (Meaghan), Katie Sicard (Zachary), Alex Giordano and Brooke Whittemore; and his great grandchildren, Shayla, Nathan, Riley, Rowan and Waylon.
