He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances "Butch" Carey and Stella Carey (Rovin); his brother Dennis Carey; and his brother-in-law Alfred Marchand. He is survived by: his wife Elaine T. Carey (Marchand); his sons, Mitchell Carey of Dracut and Christopher Greenwood (Emily); his grandson Calvin Greenwood; his aunts, Marion Hazell of Boston and Helen Williams of Boston; his siblings-in-law, Paul Marchand (Kong) of Lowell, Donna Carey of West Roxbury and Rita Caizzi (Larry) of Dracut; and his close friend Joe Kilday of Watertown. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
