He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton V. Thiel and Pauline M. Thiel (Berrett); and his sister Janice Leahy of Dracut. He is survived by: his wife Sharon A. Thiel (Pigott); his children, Chris, Jenn, Christopher Thiel of Boston, Kara Thiel (Alex Torres) of Dracut and Jennifer Thiel of Dracut; his sister Arlene Lyons (Robert Lyons) of Tewksbury; his brother-in-law Frederick Leahy of Dracut; his parents-in-law, Arthur Pigott and Carol Pigott of Burlington; and his nephew Jon Leahy (Mary Leahy) of Dracut. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces.
