She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Athenais and Florence Athenais (Barjokas); and her nephew Nathaniel J. Whelton. She is survived by: her spouse Thomas J. Murphy, Jr.; her son Matthew T. Murphy (Coleen A. Elstermeyer) of Hingham; her grandson Elliott T. E. Murphy; and her sister Georgia Whelton of Tyngsborough. She is also survived by many other close friends and family.
