He was predeceased by: his parent Romalda Vavra (Bishop); and his brother Robert Vavra. He is survived by: his wife Esther Vavra (Sokorelis); his children, Kristin Peterson (Raymond) of Lowell and Christopher Vavra (April) of Windham, NH; his grandchildren, Riley, Logan Peterson, Catherine and Max Vavra; his brother George Vavra; and his siblings-in-law, Frances Whalen (Robert) of Lowell, Lois McCabe (William) of Lowell, Eli Sokorelis of Portsmouth, NH, Martha Leary and Katie Vavra. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
