She was predeceased by: her husband John E. Cheney Jr.; her parents, Ernest G. Sr. Dixon and Bernice K. Dixon (Roberts); her daughter Kathryn Jean Bernard; her brother Ernest G. Dixon Jr.; and also John G. Bernard.
She is survived by: her son Steven J. Bernard of Lowell; her grandson Zachary S. Bernard (Jill Dakin); her great grandchild Alice Rose Bernard of New Bedford, MA; her stepchildren, Pam Cheney of Cape Cod, Stephanie Cheney of Weymouth, J. Scott Cheney of Lowell and Jay Cheney (Misty); her stepgrandson James Cheney of Lowell; her son Douglas Alan Bernard; and her sister Mabel E. Bennett.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
