He was predeceased by: his son Patrick B. Donovan; his parents, James Donovan and Elizabeth Donovan; and his brother James T. Donovan. He is survived by: his wife Karen L. Donovan; his children, Katie L. Donovan of Amesbury and Sean M. Donovan of Nashua, NH; his grandchildren, Devin P. Donovan and Cora L. Donovan; and his siblings, Heidi Ayers, Daniel Donovan and Timothy Donovan. He is also survived by 3 beautiful children and 2 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernard's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
