He was predeceased by: his spouse Lourdes DeSousa (Brito); his parent Maria J.; and his brothers, Jaime DeSousa, Alvaro DeSousa and Humberto DeSousa.
He is survived by: his parent Ramos DeSousa; his children, Maria H. DaSilva of Methuen, Janne (Pedro Pereira) of Dracut and Sid (Christine DeSousa) of South Carolina; his sister Maria Odete Sousa of Gomes; his grandchildren, Jacklyn DaSilva, Joshua DaSilva, David Pereira, Rachel (Peter Mondi), Gabriella, Nathaniel DeSousa and Zelia; and also Joaquim V. DeSousa.
