He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor McGonagle (Murphy); his son Richard McGonagle; and his parents, James McGonagle and Susan McGonagle (McLaughin). He is survived by: his friend Irish; his children, Andrew Neil McGonagle (Susan), Kevin McGonagle, John McGonagle (Susan Stewart), Paul McGonagle (AnnMarie), James McGonagle (Patrice), Karen Hoffmeister (Brett) and Debbie Drew (George); his grandchildren, Jaryd, Lauryn, Jordan, Mairead, Conor, Brogan, Meghan, Molly, Ryan, Emma, Ashlinn, Matthew, Declan, Patrick, John and Erin; his great grandchildren, Delaney, Lucy, Cole, Ella, Logan, Brynn and Colton; and his siblings, Helen Clifford (late Jack), Elizabeth Cail (late Arthur) and James McGonagle.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Andrew's name to the Amedisys/Beacon Hospice, 290 Merrimack Street, Lawrence, MA 01843 for the loving care provided by Marcey and the team.
