It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Brooks of Douglas, Massachusetts, born in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph H. "Sonny" Brooks Jr.; her son Jeffrey Brooks; her brothers, Doug Deschene and Ronnie Deschene; and her parents, Napoleon Deschene and Phoebe Deschene (Plante).
She is survived by: her daughter Joan (Charles); her sister Sharon McCarthy of Uxbridge; her grandchildren, Jarrod, Aaron Brothers, Melissa, Lori Brooks, Samuel, Benjamin Phelps, Chad Fletcher, Leann Rosenlund (Steven) and Emily Johnson; and her great grandchildren, Christopher, Brianna, Brendon Brothers, Brody, Mason, Colton Fletcher, Wesley, Cameron Rosenlund, Avery Phelps, Magnus Andersen and Aspen Cove. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan's name may be made to the American Red Cross, or to a charity of one's choice.
