In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Ruth had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Ruth may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James F. and Mary V. Scanlan; and her siblings, James F. Scanlan Jr. (late Ruth) of Braintree and Marie Sybertz (late Norbert) of Weymouth. She is survived by: her siblings, John T. Scanlan (late Monica) of Holbrook and Thomas F. Scanlan (Virginia) of Duxbury. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 29th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the John J. O'Connor & Son Funeral Home (740 Adams St, Dorchester, MA 02122). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, August 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Brendan Church (589 Gallivan Blvd, Boston, MA 02124).
