He was predeceased by: his wife Anna E. Quinlan (Rourke); his son John J. Quinlan; and his sister Mary Quinlan. He is survived by: his children, Mary O'Connell (late Kevin) of Quincy, Richard (Melinda Quinlan) of Scituate, Kathleen (Michael Callahan) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Anna (John Flynn) of Scituate, Larry Quinlan of Dorchester, Claire Charbonnier of Norwell and Lorraine Quinlan of Dorchester; and his daughter-in-law Carol Quinlan of Weymouth.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home (1020 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester, MA 02125). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish (800 Columbia Rd, Boston, MA 02125). A burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Cedar Grove Cemetery (920 Adams St, Boston, MA 02124).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's memory may be made to the Pat Roche Hospice Residence, 86 Turkey Hill Lane, Hingham, MA 02043.
