She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilson Grady and Issie Grady (Smith). She is survived by: her former husband Benjamin Adams, Sr.; her husband Joseph L. Smith; her children, Benjamin Adams, Jr., David Adams, Sr. and Margaret Adams-Smith; her grandson Danny Adams; her great grandchildren, Edwin Phoenix and Artisa Brown; her siblings, Bertha Thomas, Isabel Duncan, Martha Dyer, Robert and Wilson Grady; her children, Lillie Pearl Brown (Ards) of Dorchester, MA, Bernice Brooks of Dorchester, MA and Morris Adams of Quincy, MA.; her daughter-in-law Maggie Adams of Mattapan, MA.; and her sister Lillian Butler of Sandersville, GA.. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, 51 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great granddaughter.
