He was predeceased by: his siblings, Laurence, Michael and Francis. He is survived by: his wife Janet (Muldoon). He is also survived by many loving family members and friends.

The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to WHUS [https://www.foundation.uconn.edu] , the UConn radio station that Joe deejayed at during his retirement in Connecticut.
