She was predeceased by: her sister Carol Vialpando of Quincy; and her parents, James Shea and Leah Shea. She is survived by: her husband Patrick J. McDermott of Dorchester; her daughters, Erin McDermott of Dorchester and Shannon Cappuccio (Michael) of Dorchester; her grandchildren, Jameson McDermott-Krajeski, Cora Cappuccio and Luca Cappuccio; her siblings, Terry Hamilton (Dixon Bergman) of Plymouth, Donna Brown (late Robert) of Pembroke and Laurie Seckinger (Dave) of Braintree; and her siblings-in-law, Michael McDermott (Mary) of Manchester, NH and Mary Ellen Hess (Russell) of Bridgewater. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the John J. O'Connor & Son Funeral Home (740 Adams St, Dorchester, MA 02122). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cedar Grove Cemetery (920 Adams St, Boston, MA 02124).
