We are sad to announce that on May 30, 2024, at the age of 48, Eric Lee Dewey Sr. of Dorchester, Massachusetts, born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Robin Warner Dewey; and his friend Chapo Huntspoint. He is survived by: his parents, Elaine Marie Matteson and Edward Smith of Dalton; his children, Eric Lee Dewey Jr. of Dalton, Corbin Michael Dewey of Dalton and Mercedes Marie Howell; his siblings, Chloe Briggs of Pittsfield, Richard Wilkins of Hinsdale and Terrie Madison; his grandmother Doris Matteson of Cheshire; his uncle Scott Matteson; his aunt Robin Mazzantini of Adams; his niece Lael Harrington; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Carter and Owen; and his nieces, Kacie Chadwell and Karlee Chadwell. He is also survived by many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are being accepted on a GoFundMe page or can be made through the funeral home by calling 413-445-5988 to donate over the phone or to make an appointment to donate in person. Any donations received over and above the cost of services will be sent to Victory House of Boston, an organization that helped Eric get back on his feet and turn his life around over the last 3 years.
