He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Burgess Burkett and Arthur Burgess; and his wife Lori Arena Burgess. He is survived by: his children, Kimberly, Erin and Zoie Burgess; his grandchild Alexis Maddrey; and his siblings, Donna Burgess of Quincy, Norma Aldorno of Maine, Bobby Burgess (Kellie) of Middleboro and Joanne Merrill (Rick) of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Casper Funeral Home (187 Dorchester St, Boston, MA 02127). A Mass was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at the St. Brigid's Church (841 E Broadway, Boston, MA 02127).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dana Farber Cancer association.
