She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph F. Pavao; her parents, Antone Alves and Vicencia Alves (Arruda); her children, Joyce Swanson (late Robert Swanson) and Jeffrey Pavao; and her siblings, Mary Souza, Clara Rego, Leo Alves, Manuel Alves, Arthur Alves and Irene Ferreira.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Pavao, Jr. (Geraldine), James Pavao (Karen) of Maryland and Joan Bower. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
