She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Joseph Burns; her parents, Alexander MacIsaac and Anna K. MacIsaac (Boyle); her son Edward "Ted" Burns, Jr.; and her siblings, Dr. Alexander MacIsaac, Irene Lynch and Noel MacIsaac.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. David Burns (Debbie), Ann-Marie Murphy (Kevin), Alan Burns (Lori), Suzanne Connors (Dave) and Michael Burns (Stefany); her daughter-in-law Esther Zuraw Burns; her grandchildren, David, Jr., Cailie, Kristen, Sean, Colin, Cassie, Shannon, Mackenzie, Megan and Owen; her great grandchildren, Savannah, Lilly, Devin, David, III, Colin, Jr. and Liv; and her sister Lorraine Lonergan.
