He was predeceased by: his parents, John Irwin, Sr. and Mary Agnes (Conroy); and his brothers, Col. Robert E. Irwin, John J. Irwin and Bishop Francis Irwin.
He is survived by: his wife Anne (Reardon); his children, Joan Tolson (Charles) of Medford, William Irwin (Christina) of North Andover and Eugene F. Irwin, Jr. (Jeanne) of North Andover; his grandchildren, Edward, Benjamin, Brittany, Patrick, Shannon, Hailey, Maeghan and Lauren; his sisters, Mary Irwin, Joan Curran and Margaret Callahan; and his brother-in-law Richard Callahan of Randolph.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Raphael Church (512 High St, Medford, MA 02155). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
