It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia A. (Duffy) Merino of Dedham, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 25, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Virginia A. leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her husband George Merino; her parents, Frederick Duffy and Martha Duffy of Dedham; her cousin Mary Paulsen (family: Donna Heffron, Dianna DiGregorio, John Paulsen, Sheila Morrison, Earl Paulsen) of Reading; her niece Deborah Merino; and her nephew John Merino (Madeline).
She is survived by: her niece Cheryl Cosenza (late Peter); and her great-nieces, Elizabeth Merino and Christa Cosenza.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home (456 High St, Dedham, MA 02026). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (420 High St, Dedham, MA 02026).
