She was predeceased by: her parents, Dominic Sciaraffa and Thomasina Sciaraffa (Palumbo); and her husband George Barrett. She is survived by: her son Tom (Karla); her grandsons, Corey and Nick; her son Bob (Anne); her granddaughters, Hannah, Sarah Barrett Robbins (Todd Robbins) and Nancy Sauer (Jim); her nephew Jim Sauer; and her nieces, Annmarie McPherson and Debbie Scotton.
An avid knitter, she made baby blankets for generations of babies born to family and friends, and donated a constant supply of blankets for premature babies to area hospitals.
