He was predeceased by: his sister Barbara Kelley; and his parents, Frederick Nelligan and Thecla Nelligan (Dorgan). He is survived by: his wife Noreen Nelligan (Ryan); his children, Mary Blundell of Walpole, John W. Nelligan Jr. of Dedham, Joseph P. Nelligan of Boston, Mark Nelligan of Marshfield, William F. Nelligan of Dedham and Ann Marie Ralli of Norwood; and his grandchildren, Lauren Blundell, Kerry Nelligan, Erin Nelligan and Madalyn Ralli.
