She is survived by: her husband Col. Michael A. Melvin; her children, Patricia, Michael, Clare Hughes (Chris), John (Maria Serio-Melvin), Katherine Fitzsimmons and Deirdre; and her grandchildren, Erik Melvin, Scott Hughes, Michael Melvin, Shannon Hughes, Patrick Melvin and Samantha Melvin.
