He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edson B. Mellen and Helen Mellen; his wife Marilyn Marie Mellen (Keenan); his children, Jean M. Sauer (Todd) of Boylston, James T. Mellen (Linda) of Dedham, Robert F. Mellen (Jen) of Uxbridge, John E. Mellen (Marilyn) of Norwood, Richard F. Mellen (Michelle) of Norwood and Steven D. Mellen (Theresa) of Dedham; and his sister Ruth Melanson of Brockton. He was also cherished by 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
