He was predeceased by: his parents, Abraham Newman and Bessie Newman; his former wife Muriel Newman (Glaser); his sister Sylvia Baker (Newman); his daughter Dr. Melissa Robichaud (Newman); his niece Dale DiCarlo (Baker); and also Barbara Newman (Kramer).

He is survived by: his children, Swampscott and Madelyn Morris (Newman) of Newton, MA; his wife Barbara Newman (Kramer); his grandchildren, Rachel Robichaud of Pawtucket, RI, Merrill Robichaud of Charlestown, MA, Sabrina Robichaud of Boston, MA, Martin Morris of Rockville, MD and Adam Morris of Sharon, MA; his great grandchildren, Jared, Samuel Morris of Rockville, MD, Zoe and Jillian Morris of Sharon, MA; his niece Sherri Botticelli (Baker) of Boynton Beach, FL; his stepchildren, Melinda Kramer of Chicago, Ill and Samuel Kramer of Quincy, MA; and his stepgrandchildren, Alex Ernst of Chelsea, MA and Eden Ernst of Boulder Colo.
