With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Charlotte B. (Busny) Modest of Dedham, Massachusetts, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Charlotte B. left this world on December 5, 2024 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lena Busny (Hiller) and Solomon Busny; her husband Edward Modest; and her sisters, Esther Simon and Naomi Kaplan.
She is survived by: her children, David Modest (Forbes Singer) of Pocasset, MA, Anne Modest of Washington, D. C. and Betsy Modest Brand (Michael Brand) of Ridgefield, CT.; her grandchildren, Ryan Brand (Sara), Rebecca Brand (Dylan Farrell) and Emily Brand (Liron Burstein); and her brother Irving Busny (Judy).
A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Lindwood Memorial Park (490 North St, Randolph, MA 02368).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlotte's name, may be made in her honor at the charity of your choice, or to a new scholarship set up, in her name, at the New England Conservatory of Music.
