We are sad to announce that on April 17, 2025, Catherine M. (Barrett) Newton of Dedham, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Catherine M. farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Catherine M. is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Frederick W. Newton; her son Patrick Newton (Lindsay) of Pembroke; her grandchildren, Briley and Trevor Newton; and her brothers, Richard and John Barrett. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home (2000 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 8:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Susanna's Church (262 Needham St, Dedham, MA 02026).
